I uninstalled Java from the Windows Control Panel. And yet more hellish, that HQ tech support people say that I must ensure 7_55 'checks' (and prove) until they talk to me even on other issues of web application. Yes, we know the security implications, but the HQ said that our web applications will not work correctly. It only comes down to Windows Vista.ĭue to production requirements, I can't go beyond 7_55. Unfortunately, on our systems, setting Compatibility Mode to "Windows NT" does not exist in this Panel. After some research, I found some people who use a property setting Compatibility Mode on the JAVAWS and JP2LAUNCHER executables. If it is a problem of IE settings to get IE to "mate up" with Java, would someone mind helping me determine what Internet Options must be power for the applet Java check properly see the/State of the current version. But I never have the version number to show. With other elements on the page to check that I get a box that says, "the page requires Java. ' And an 'OK' to reject. I am trying to unravel why, after a new installation of 7_55, I can't do the applet Java check to show the version.
